The Rules

These rules apply to all editions of The AI Video Academy Awards and may be updated over time.
Please review them before submitting.
Who can enter?

Both individual creators and teams are eligible.

Open to people from all countries.
Mandatory AI use

Your video must include clear, meaningful use of AI — in visuals, audio, storytelling, or post-production.

The core visuals must be generated or significantly enhanced using AI tools.

Traditional filmmaking techniques (like editing or compositing) are welcome — but AI must be the creative focal point.

If it’s not obvious how AI was used, we may request a brief explanation or proof of process.
Rights & Permissions

By submitting, you confirm the work is your own and you have the rights to all included content.

You retain full ownership of your submission. By entering, you give us permission to showcase your work for promotion of the awards, with credit.
Prizes
-
Winners will receive gear, tools, features, or other creative prizes — with details announced each round.
Submission Guidelines

Video Length: Submissions must be at least 30 seconds long.
There’s no maximum time limit — tell your story at your own pace.

Entry Limit: You may submit up to 3 entries per round, each must be a different project.

Format: Submit your film as a 1080p or higher MP4/MOV file, with English subtitles if your film uses another language.
Judging Criteria
Winners will be selected by a panel of judges based on storytelling, originality, and innovative use of AI.
Submissions will be evaluated across the following criteria:

Creativity & Originality
Does the entry present a fresh idea, concept, or artistic approach?

AI Integration
Is AI used in an intentional, innovative, and meaningful way?

Storytelling Impact
Is there a compelling narrative or emotional arc that holds attention?

Technical Execution
How strong is the visual polish, pacing, sound design, and overall craft?

Overall Impression
Does the piece stand out? Is it memorable, thought-provoking, or surprising?
Social Sharing

You’re encouraged to share your film on social media and tag @Absolutely.AI (Instagram)

Sharing the hashtag #AIVideoAcademyAwards will help your work get seen.
Questions & Disputes

If your submission looks like it might not meet the criteria, we may ask for a quick explanation or proof of how AI was used.

Final decisions are up to the judges — but we’re all about supporting creativity, not catching anyone out.
